Parker Kaufman's "Self-Portrait, The Surreal Me"

Dear Gentle Readers,

Today I have a special treat for you. Our own Parker Kaufman, talented Texas paper collage artist and co-founder of Vision and Verse, the Place for Art and Authors, has another masterpiece for us.

In Parker's own words:
"I thought my last art piece was my last work for the year. Sudden inspiration, however, brought about this, my LAST work for 2017. This 20" x 30" piece is entitled "Self Portrait, The Surreal Me." The inspiration came from examining my creative process, the manner in which I express metaphor, and how it influences my artistic choices."

Amazing, Parker!  We just love it.

You can contact Parker through me at Vision and Verse for more information on any of his artwork. Although he doesn't work with me on a daily basis anymore bringing you the best in art and authors, we are still in touch on a weekly basis and I'll forwardrd your message.

I hope you enjoy this art piece as much as I do.

  1. Well, I have looked at this piece several times and have to say, I don't understand it. I see darkness and hope at the same time. Perhaps one must have to know Parker intimately to understand it.
