BOOK REVIEW: The Murder at Sissingham Hall by Clara Benson

I enjoy British country manor murder mysteries set in the 1920s and The Murder at Sissingham Hall by Clara Benson was an excellent one. Charles Knox returns to England from Africa, where he made his fortune. His best friends brings him to a party where the host dies. Oh, and the host’s wife is Charles’ ex-fiancĂ©. Well written in 1920s style, an American woman sleuth emerges to prove it was murder, and leads the way to discover the murderer. Nice, easy read, with great characters and the beautiful English countryside.
