60,000 Pageview Milestone

Dear Gentle Readers,

I am thrilled and grateful and humbled that this little blog Parker Kaufman and I began on April 15, 2013 to showcase the art and authors of our day, as well as the old masters of the past, with the express purpose of inspiring the creativity in others and encouraging them to see the beauty around them, has blossomed into this 60,000 Pageview Art and Author Blog viewed around the world.

Thank you to all who stop by daily just to see what's happening. Thank you to all our wonderful artists who share their phenomenal work with us. Thank you to all the authors who share their covers and reviews, who give us excerpts, blog tours, and of course, the fabulous interviews.

Our interviews are designed to help us get a peek at the real person behind the art and the manuscript. Our readers LOVE the interviews the best.

Interviews on Vision and Verse are by invitation only. Someday when I get bored, I'll count them and announce how many talented people have given their time and thought and photos, so our readers could get to know them.

Thank you to all who have helped us get to this 60,000 Pageview Milestone. We will continue to strive to be the best "place for art and authors."

Hugs,
Carol

P.S. My curiosity got the best of me. I counted 197 interviews as of June 30, 2015.

The Beautiful Paintings of Evgeny Lushpin

Evgeny Lushpin

The paintings of Evgeny Lushpin have an ethereal, dreamlike quality that draws the eye of the viewer into the beauty of his photo-like art work.  At first, you think it’s a photo; a really, really great photo, with perfect lighting and balance of hues and tone resonance, a perfect picture of a familiar famous city or landmark scene.

But upon further examination, one sees it is a painting, a beautiful painting with a golden light emanating from a
perfectly composed piece.  He not only transport you to that perfect place, but to that perfect time.  One cannot view a Lushpin and not be touched, in my opinion.  I wonder if this is how this amazing Russian painter actually sees the world!

Evgeny Lushpin, a celebrated contemporary artist, was born in a small town outside of Moscow in November of 1966 and was educated in the finest schools in Russia, following the traditional techniques of the Russian Realism School of Art.

Angela Ford's SUNSET KISSES

Alivia Jones yearned for success, or so she thought. A full scholarship to Columbia took her out of the small dull town she grew up in. There she left her childhood sweetheart Jacob Adams broken-hearted and never looked back; until an invitation for her tenth reunion arrived.

On her climb to success on Wall Street she sold her soul to the CEO of Financial Freedom, Brent Atwood. Rich, successful with a body no woman could deny; he wanted Alivia and she wanted his signature on her paycheck. Her emotional struggle to stay with him tore her apart until she finally realized and admitted that he did not own her. His threat to ruin her on Wall Street no longer scared her. She quit her job, ended her arrangement with Brent and left to meet her best friends in Sunset Beach for their reunion.

Her hesitation to see Jacob again disappeared with a reunion under the tall oak at sunset. One sunset, one kiss reunites a love that never left her heart. Will sunset kisses and one crazy idea keep Alivia in Sunset Beach?
