TV TIME: The Lightkeepers (Prime Video FreeVee)
This was a lovely movie about a grumpy old lighthouse keeper and his new helper, a guy he found on the beach, who were both running away but from different things. The peace and solitude of taking care of a lighthouse seemed to be the perfect answer for both of them.
Until one day, a young socialite and her housekeeper came to stay for a few weeks in a nearby cottage.
The scenery and cinematography in this movie were just beautiful. The beach scenes and the ocean views were stunning.
Also a big draw in this movie were the always lovely and talented Blythe Danner and veteran actor Richard Dreyfuss.

BOOK REVIEW: Bloody & Afflicted, Hostile Territory Book 2 by Gerald L. Guy
Bloody & Afflicted, Hostile Territory Book 2 by Gerald L. Guy was an outstanding combination of western adventure, pioneer history, and one-arm super hero gunslinger tale. I am a fan of the terrific Gus McIntyre books by this author and this new series did not disappoint. Fast paced, well written, and hard to put down. I highly recommend.

ART: Yosemite Valley, El Capitan by Thomas Hill, Bulter Museum of
The West Room is one of my favorite areas of the Butler Museum of Art in Youngstown, Ohio.
You are greeted by Thomas Hill’s Yosemite Valley scene with the imposing face of El Capitan. Every I study this painting, I find something new to admire.
And, if you are alone and stand quietly by the painting, you just might find yourself transported back in time to this quiet, little stream with our Native American people who lived in harmony with the land in stewardship, taking only what they needed to live.
