BOOK:FREE Today! Wait for Me, A Time After Time Novel, by Carol Ann Kauffman

 Wait for Me
A Time After Time Novel
by Carol Ann Kauffman

Can she just pick up a relationship exactly where death stole it away from her so long ago?

Richard and Nicole. Their everlasting love survived many lifetimes but not without sacrifice and heartache. Their relationship is never easy. After their meeting at the serene place, Blue Lake, it seems in every new lifetime fate keeps them apart until they’re ready to find each other.

When small-town Ohio art teacher Misha Lockhart answered a knock at the door, she instantly recognized her beloved husband from a previous lifetime. Richard MacKenzie traveled from London on a whim to find her.

Richard, now known as Mick Kiley, a mild-mannered historian, wants to whisk her away to London.

The memories of their everlasting love ignited, and her passion flared, but could she simply leave everything behind?
Job.
Friends.
Husband?

Can she dismiss everything in her present lifetime, no matter how boring and mediocre, for the promise of a dazzling love from the past?

ENTERTAINMENT: The Book of Boba Fett (Disney+)

Okay, first of all, I am aware of the reputation of the legendary Bounty Hunter, but I’m not exactly sure why Boba Fett got his own series when they are so many other Star Wars characters with more charisma. But as far as bald old men go, I like him.

So as the tale begins, Boba is tired on being a gun for hire mercenary, and after being left for dead, rescued by the Sand People, and discovering himself, he decided he wants to take over the late
Jaba the Hutt’s operation.

The best episodes of Season One were the ones ole Boba Fett wasn’t even in. They were mid-season episodes of the Mandalorian.
My favorite character is his bodyguard/martial arts assassin Fennec Shand played by the very talented Ming-na Wen, who carries the show.

Theodore Roosevelt. He lived the ultimate rugged American lifestyle. Big game hunter, cowboy, war hero, and soldier.

What advice would you give someone who aspired to be a writer?

To write, and to show instead of telling in their writing. It took me over a decade to actually develop this skill and I’m still not completely where I’d like to be

BOOK REVIEW: Sapiens, A Graphc History by Yuval Noah Harari

Review

"This appealing first volume elucidates often misunderstood basics of human evolution (i.e., that until 50,000 years ago, there used to be at least six species of humans) while also unraveling knotty existential questions about humanity’s role on this planet. Young science enthusiasts and adult philosophers alike will want to pick up this smart, snappy work." -- Publishers Weekly

"In a manner that is both playful and provocative, Harari teams with co-creators adept at the graphic format to enliven his academic studies....An informative, breathless sprint through the evolution and consequences of human development." -- Kirkus Reviews

About the Author

Prof. Yuval Noah Harari is a historian, philosopher, and the bestselling author of Sapiens: A Brief History of HumankindHomo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow21 Lessons for the 21st Century, and Sapiens: A Graphic History. His books have sold over 35 million copies in 65 languages, and he is considered one of the world’s most influential public intellectuals today. The Guardian has credited Sapiens with revolutionizing the non-fiction market and popularizing “brainy books”.

In 2020 Harari joined forces with renowned comics artists David Vandermeulen and Daniel Casanave, to create Sapiens: A Graphic History: a radical adaptation of the original Sapiens into a graphic novel series. This illustrated collection casts Yuval Noah Harari in the role of guide, who takes the reader through the entire history of the human species, accompanied by a range of fictional characters and traveling through time, space and popular culture references.

Born in Haifa, Israel, in 1976, Harari received his PhD from the University of Oxford in 2002, and is currently a lecturer at the Department of History, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He originally specialized in world history, medieval history and military history, and his current research focuses on macro-historical questions such as: What is the relationship between history and biology? What is the essential difference between Homo sapiens and other animals? Is there justice in history? Does history have a direction? Did people become happier as history unfolded? What ethical questions do science and technology raise in the 21st century?
