How old were you when you started writing?

I started toying around with it when I was nine, but I didn’t get serious about it until I was an old lady of eighteen!

Do you plan out your book with outlines and notecards? Or just write?

Nope, I’m a pantster all the way.

Describe your perfect evening.

Sitting at a baseball game in eighty degree weather with a light breeze. I'm very hard to please, as you can tell!

Where do you get your inspiration?

From people and various aspects in my life. I like to say I put my life in a blender and chop it up to create a book.

If you could sit down and have a conversation with ONE person, living or dead, real or fictional, who would it be and why?

Elvis Presley. Besides his handsome looks and talent, he seemed to be a genuine person, and I would’ve liked to have tried helping him sort through his personal battles.

What advice would you give someone who aspired to be a
writer?

Don't give up; every rejection letter is one closer to an acceptance.
