Weekend Warriors (hardback) by Fern Michaels is the first in the Sisterhood series. A friend is killed. The justice system fails her family. Her best friend and her mother want revenge, so they take matters into their own hands. They seek out a group of women who have been wronged who want to seek justice with them. As with other Fern Michaels books, this is well-written with a twisty turny plot and heartfelt characters.
It would have been a five star read, except for the brutal rape scene.
