For our thirtieth anniversary, my husband and I returned to the same Florida resort where we spent our honeymoon. I promised my husband I would not make it a working vacation because it was supposed to be a romantic getaway, so I left my laptop at home.
Jet lag, eating dinner later than usual, and my introduction to sweet and minty Mojitos caused me to fall into a very deep sleep.
I woke up in the night. I had to pee. The curtains were stretched open. The sky was pitch black. I didn’t know where I was. Nothing was familiar. A loud snore interrupted me. I crept out of bed so as not to wake my sleeping husband and went to the bathroom.
