Belterra is actually the first book in the Time After Time series, although it was published second. This was around 2010 0r 2011, when I was making the rounds with the bigger publishing companies, as was the normal at that time. I had both the Blue Lake and the Belterra manuscripts completed. I was advised that Blue Lake had more marketability.

I always believe the book I'm working on currently is my favorite. It has part of my heart and soul and in many cases is the receptacle on my tears. But those first few books, Blue Lake, Belterra, the Baslicato, and Bentley Square, will always hold a special place in my heart. Yeah, yeah, they have heart and soul and tears. But they also have blood and sweat and uncertainty. They didn't know where they were going, but they led the way anyway.
