This was an excellent movie. Filmed in gorgeous Venice and directed by the magical David Lean, it’s the story of a woman who saved up for this trip to Italy for years. She finally gets to Venice, which is so entrancingly beautiful it feels otherworldly, where she is extremely aware of her aloneness.
