I loved Blue Lake-another in the Time After Time series (read my review here) so much that I decided to read another one!
These two soul mates keep getting separated--but have no fear--they ultimately find each other again. It will take you from an alien planet--to various other planets--to earth and back again. There is a definite villain in this one who is bound and determined to keep these two apart. He really does try!! But true soul mates can never be separated.
This one will keep you on your toes trying to figure out how this will ultimately end. If you are a romantic (which I definitely am)--well-- all I can say is you will get swept away and love every minute of it!!
Lord of Blakeley is Carol ann Kauffman's latest book in the Time after Time series, and it's just as wonderful as all the rest! This series keeps getting better and better!
No, these books are not "romance novels" There's no naked men, with nice abs, or page after page of sex scenes, these books weave tales of true romance, of love that is stronger then time. They embrace that love really means and don't cheapen it!
This story has all the wonderful elements of fantasy and sci-fi that Carol weaves into her classic love story. The character meet on their futuristic planet and fall in love dispite their classes, and then are horrible seperated by a jealous man. They each go through their own struggles, and fight for their love. It's heartbreaking and wonderful, and draws you in and keeps you reading. You need to know what happens in this cycle of the Time After Time series because you won't regret it!
Ms Kauffman's characters are lively, well developed and always in love. The Time after Time series is a wonderful collection of stories that follows the same couple in different eras and times, and they always find each other again despite challenges and difficulties, but love always bring them together. Very creative, and a great story!
Lord of Blakeley is a passionate love story that takes the reader on a journey to several dimensions, planets, and styles of behavior... Lord Andrew and Lady Aleese share an unbreakable bond of love that is tested repeatedly. This couple will face anything to be together, including surviving difficult circumstances on other planets. Andrew is a humble and honest man. His gentle nature is put to the test after his wife is kidnapped repeatedly by an enemy from another land. Enduring and surviving intense suffering during their separations, Andrew and Aleese both realize that they need to change the way they play this dreadful game. With the help of family and friends, Andrew and Aleese defeat the people and issues that threaten to ruin their marriage. I especially enjoyed the sassy and slightly stubborn personality of Lady Aleese. Lord Andrew was a perfect mate for her. I am looking forward to reading another book by Carol Ann Kauffman. Her writing style was very enjoyable. Danice Akiyoshi Author of Connected Hearts
I don't usually read books like this one but I am glad I read it. this book is about two people who love each other now matter what happens to them. It is about two people who are from different planets and one is from a princess and the other one is a farm boy. He had loved her from afar for a very long time. Finally they meet and she picks him from all the other men. She falls in love with him and he tells her he has loved her for a long time. This book is would you need to read and you can see that love in the same in any universal. I recommend this book to any one who loves to read a different kind of love story.
If you have been reading the Time After Time series like I have, you don't want to miss this one, Lord of Blakeley. Carol Ann Kauffman went a whole different direction with this one then the rest. I have to say, this one will stay with me the most. Carol Ann takes you on a time travel journey to other planets and earth. There is space travel, paranormal and the usual special love between to very special people, "Nicole and Richard". I love how she has Aleese and Andrew remember parts of the other books, but don't know why they do. Andrew keeps saying that he has loved Aleese from the beginning of time and it sure looks like it. Andrew is just a farm boy on the planet Nord. Nobody special, not the smartest of the bunch and definitely not the bravest. One day he see's this most beautiful girl in the whole world and falls in love at first sight, without even meeting her. He followed her and tried to get close, but the guards wouldn't let him. He would dream of her for the rest of his life. Aleese, Lady Aleese is being raised by Lord Havenhill and his family. It's time for her to take a mate and he wants his son Grant to be the one. Aleese has different ideas and neither Havenhill men are happy with that. Aleese knows her mate is at Blakeley and after going to all the different "towns", she hasn't found the right mate yet. Being pushed for time, she has to find him her or be forced to marry Grant. Aleese and Andrew Wed and Grant keeps steeling her and placing her on different planets. Andrew goes out searching for her every time. They are traveling be transport with a bracelet. He finds her on a rock planet and other strange places. Grant even sent them to earth to be low scumbag workers. It backfired to some degree. I love how Carol Ann started each new place with the location of where they are so you don't get confused. As much jumping around Aleese and Andrew did, you really need that to keep track of where you were. There is so much I could tell you about this book, but I feel it would be giving away all the good parts and there are a lot of them. This book isn't a slow pace boring love story, No it's another part of Nicole and Richard as Aleese and Andrew. The pure love and devotion is still there and the adventure just turned out better. I really hope Carol Ann has more of Nicole and Richard coming in the future, this is a fun read and I love her style of writing.
