Dear Gentle Readers,
Welcome to Monday Morning Ramblings. I will only ramble on Mondays when I have something to ramble about! (Forgive the preposition at the end of the sentence.)
Today, I do. I've just returned from two weeks in heavenly Aruba. If "the Happy Island" is not on your Wish List, may I suggest you add it?
Aruba lies about fifteen miles off the northern coast of Venezuela. It is not in the Hurricane Belt. It's the number one honeymoon spot right now, and the majority of vacationers are from the United States. It is the perfect beach vacation. The weather is wonderful. Summertime hot, but with an island breeze (the Tradewinds) to cool you down.
The hotel accommodations along Palm Beach are some of the best in the world, and you can find quite a range in price and amenities. We stayed at the Marriott Stelaris Resort this time in a lovely beachfront room. There are five restaurants at the hotel and a variety of shops. There was no reason for us to leave the hotel area.
We went the last two weeks on September, which is the end of low season. High season begins October 1. We wanted a resting vacation this time. We were both exhausted and recuperating from various ailments of age and aggravation. We wanted ocean, beach, food, and sleep. And this vacation delivered.
Thank you for showing up and being loyal Vision and Verse readers. I appreciate you.
Hugs,
Carol
