Katla is described as a supernatural volcano drama set in Iceland. The volcano, Katla, has been erupting for a year. Residents have been advised to evacuate, but a handful of residents have decided to stay put. These residents soon have to deal with beings emerging from the ash and ice, based on their ancient Icelandic folklore.
