I am not a fan of war movies, especially World War II movies. The war was the topic of conversation when my mother’s family got together. Five of my uncles served in the Army and Navy during the war. It is too close for me to see the big picture.
Because I haven’t been able to get through many World War II movies, I don’t have much comparative background.
However, Narvik is told from the viewpoint of the Norwegian citizens of the town of Narvik about their battle with Hitler over their iron ore.
It is a compelling, gripping story.
