This was one of my favorite series when it appeared on BBC America.
The charming and talented Scottish actor Douglas Henshall is a zoology professor who is drawn into the examination of a bright, shiny, extra-dimensional portal into primeval times, and accidentally unleashes prehistoric beings like dinosaurs, humongous spiders, and carnivorous lizards back through the portal into today’s society.
Hannah Spearitt is also in this as a local zoo employee who specializes in reptiles and befriends a small flying reptile called Rex. As always, she is excellent.
The professor has a special interest in this portal they call an anomaly because his wife Helen may be trapped on the other side of that particular dimensional doorway.
I was delighted to find this series on Tubi. If you like sci-fi, dinosaurs, or Doug Henshall, then give this series a try.
