Jeopardy Pass, Raising Cane Book 1 by Gerald L. Guy was an outstanding historical fictional account of one boy’s journey through the Ohio Valley from Pennsylvania to manhood on a cattle drive.
Steeped in Ohio history, this story illuminates the travel, dangers, and hardships endured by these early settlers and gave me a brand new appreciation for my home state of Ohio, which I usually refer to as the armpit of the country.
An outstanding western tale of courage and adventure by one outstanding author. I am off to get Book 2.
