In Fool Me Once, Harlan Coben weaves an over-the-top domestic conspiracy theory, complete with a martial-artist type ex-military wife, dead husband, dead sister, and a secret nanny-cam picture frame.
By the end of the first episode in the series, you swear the wife, Claire, is insane. Her rich mother-in-law, played perfectly by the talented Joanna Lumley, agrees. And, to be honest, Claire does some really crazy things, like pantsing her niece’s soccer coach at a match.
But Claire sees her dead husband and she is sure he is alive.
