This was a delightful film about love. It explores three Greek citizens from different age groups that fall in love with a foreigner during the devastating financial crisis that rocked Greece to its core in 2007-2008.
This is not my favorite genre. I much prefer some kind of escapism. Watching financial gloom is not my idea of rollicking good entertainment.
However, J.K. Simmons was in this and he is a terrific actor. He is so versatile and believable in every role I’ve ever seen him in, including Santa.
So we watched. It was sweet and sad and touching. I cried.
The three distinct love stories had one thing in common. You need to watch it to find out.
I streamed it free on Tubi.
