This is not a horror film. It is both violent and tender. It grabs you and does not let go. It is an epic cinema at its finest. Jacob Elordi does a fantastic job as the Creature, or the Creation. He gives it strength, courage, and heart. And height!
But in my opinion, it is Oscar Isaac who carries this film. His interpretation of Dr. Victor Frankenstein in brilliant and unscrupulous and immensely cruel and momentarily tender, all rolled into one genius of a madman.
At the end of the film, you will ponder this: Who is the monster?
