Dear Gentle Readers,
Art posts have been part of Vision and Verse since Parker Kaufman and I started this little art and author blog long ago on April 15, 2013. I was the Verse. Parker was the Vision, the artist, and he not only shared his knowledge of Art, artists, and art techniques, but he also shared his own beautiful art pieces.
Times have changed. Artists are no longer comfortable sharing their work because there are those people who copy other people’s artwork, remove the copyright mark, and pass them off as their own work. We even found one person selling the prints on Amazon.
You can understand how the artist felt. Her work was stolen. And us? We wanted to introduce our audience to these new and exciting artists we found and showcase their work, not put them in jeopardy of having their work stolen.
If there’s an artist out there who would like to be featured on Vision and Verse with a photo, short bio, link, and artwork, I will personally watermark your creation.
But as of now, Monday Art Posts are a thing of the past. We’ll try a few different things in its place and see how it goes. If you have a suggestion, let me know.
With warm regards,
Carol
