they were old enough, so she sent her children upstairs.

again, as she had every few minutes, checked her phone.

said she was about to leave.

my heart asked her for fifteen minutes, and chuckling, she asked what I do if she did.

and I said this.

one minute to say hello and good to see you.

 two minutes to embrace you and live there.

 two minutes to allow my eyes to travel your physical landscape, my nose to inhale your scent,  and fingers touch your face and hair.

 one minute to compliment you and tell you how much I miss you.

 a minute to kiss your lips lightly.

 a minute to kiss your lips fully.

 a minute to kiss you and inhale your breath.

 a minute to kiss you and give you breath back.

 thirty seconds to pause and allow comprehension to catch up.

 thirty seconds of looking into your soul and you mine.

two minutes to embrace you so that no space can live between us, exchange breaths, and let tongues salsa.

 a minute to hold your hand and stare at God’s sky.

 a minute to say I cannot wait to see you , embrace you, and kiss you again. 

just give me fifteen minutes

Another excellent story from Carol Ann Kauffman. This time Richard and Nicole are an elderly pair who have recently met but have been missing their other half for their entire lives. Nicole is a children's author trying to track down her friend's brother and Richard is working with elephants in an Australian zoo.

This book isn't just a love story. There's a little bit of mystery and intrigue added in too. And the course of true love doesn't run smoothly. I was willing Nicole (Skye) to make the correct choice and choose to be with Richard - not break both their hearts by being too afraid to take a leap and be with him. Does she? You'll have to read it and find out ;)

Restless Spirits by Kathy Bryson is the story of Marilee Harper, a strong, independent, verbal woman who handles difficult people and situations on an everyday basis easily, if not graciously. But, seriously, how much can one woman take? Job problems, arson charges looming, sick mom, overbearing mom (same mom), overdue bills, etc., I would be a little short-temptered, too. The solution? Run a haunted bed and breakfast! Loved this mother-daughter relationship. Throw some Shakespeare and leprechauns into the mix and you get this smart funny paranormal romantic fantasy with loads of surprises. Ms. Bryson has an easy, entertaining style of writing. I highly recommend this novel to anyone who likes romance, paranormal, fantasy, or has a mother.

In Restless Spirits, Marilee Harper is desperate to find another job after she accidentally set fire to the home of the richest woman in town. Converting an old hospital into a B&B seems like a golden opportunity. But fixtures turn themselves off and on, and old baseballs fly without help. Stressed and aggravated, Marilee wants nothing more than to redeem herself, even if it means hands off her sympathetic boss!

John Smith has every confidence in the bossy, strong woman he hired to launch his B&B. She handled difficult customers at the bank and now she’s handling electricity and plumbing and whatever unseen force keeps throwing baseballs.
