Carol Ann Kauffman's BTGN Blog Stop

Good Morning Holiday Blog Hoppers,

Today is the Carol Ann Kauffman Stop in the BTGN Holiday Gifts of Love Blog Hop.  For those of you who are not my regular Vision and Verse readers and are our guests this morning, let me tell you a little about myself.

I am the author of the Time After Time series, which follows a very special pair of lovers through their many lifetimes together.  My novels, classified as romantic adventure with a twist of sci-fi/fantasy, are about life, love, loss, and lunacy.
My Christmas short story, Madison's Christmas, has been picked up by BTGN Publishing Company, and I am thrilled and delighted to be a part of this wonderful organization.
I am a retired teacher from a local school district, where I taught first grade for most of my thirty-five years, but also taught second and third grades when the enrollment needs required it.  My last three years were spent as a reading specialist.
Those long summer vacations were perfect for travel and my husband and I traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Italy, and the Caribbean.  We are especially fond of Aruba and Italy, which show up in my novels quite a bit.

During college I worked at the university as a hostess in the student lounge, and in a department store and a hardware shop, was a printer in a print shop, and an office manager.  Later I also worked in an insurance office.

Things I like to do besides writing are playing Bridge and gardening.  I like to grow African violets and orchids, and still I have a plant that was sent to us as a wedding gift many, many years ago. And I like trains.

Please continue to participate in the Holiday Gifts of Love Blog Hop for a chance to win some fantastic prizes and to meet your next favorite author.

Now, for a chance to win Prize # One, a  digital copy of my new Christmas short story, Madison's Christmas, all you have to do is comment in the comment section, telling me what was your favorite Christmas movie.

I am partial to the original Miracle on 34th Street with Natalie
Wood as the adorable child and where they got the real Santa Claus to play Kriss Kringle.

And also The Christmas Story with Darrin MacGavin as the father.  I loved the turkey's demise and the Chinese restaurant for Christmas dinner.   And I still believe if you get a Red Rider BB gun for Christmas, you could shoot your eye out.

For a chance to win Prize # Two,  a digital copy of The Baslicato,
the third installment in the Time After Time series (don't worry, they do not need to be read in any specific order), all you have to do is tell me what was the very favorite Christmas present you ever got or gave.

Book Description:

When Dr. Brook Wilson agreed to take on Italian celebrity race car driver, Jason Maxwell, known as "The Baslicato," as her patient, little did she realize their relationship would turn her calm, pleasant, well-ordered life upside down, sending her off on dangerous adventures in southern Italy and northern Ohio.
As she prepares him for his big race, she must deal with his demented wife while driving her boyfriend, Dr. Garrett MacEgan, into acts of criminal desperation in an attempt to hold on to her.
When tall, handsome, British actor Richard MacKenzie wakes up in the hospital after an accident. he discovers he's a short Italian race car driver named Jason Maxwell, known as The Baslicato.

Thank you for participating in our Holiday Gifts of Love Blog Hop.  I know I don't normally ask you to respond.  I know most of you just like to be here, no pressure.  But there are some great prizes to be won, why not try?

Make this a "December to Remember" for you personally.  As you are preparing to make everybody else happy this holiday season, do something nice for that little tender spirit inside of you.  She (or he) needs to feel loved and appreciated, too!

Hugs,
Carol
