Dear Gentle Readers,
This novel was a fun one to write. Although this is the second book I wrote, it is chronologically first in the Time After Time series. The original title was "Terra Nova," which means New Land. But while the book was with my editor was final edits that autumn, a new series premiered on the Sci Fi Channel called...Terra Nova. So we settled on Belterra, short for Bella Terra. Beautiful land.
In this novel the two main characters are from members of opposing, or at least conflicting, tribes, in a land that could be a primitive past at first glance. But it is not.
Neeka, beautiful daughter of the leader of a tribe of peaceful healers, is fascinated with Braedon, the chief of the soldier clan. They are at opposite ends of their planet's political and philosophical culture
Can one person change the course of life on an entire planet?
Can love survive a lie, no matter how well-intented?

Also, the long-awaited sequel to Belterra is finally out! It's called Dark Return. The carnivorous bat-like indigenous population called the Batrachs were forced into the water by a giant forcefield long, long ago.
Over time, the forcefield has weakened. The Batrachs have crawled out of the sea into caves along the seashore and they want their planet back.
Can Neeka and Braedon save their planet and each other?
