Laura Linney is fabulous in this film, as is Ernie Hudson. They carry the movie. It got fair to cheesy reviews, but I liked it. There's a talking gorilla. Tim Curry plays a stereotypical treasure hunter with gusto. Dylan Walsh was dwarfed by his excellent co-stars in this one. Give it a chance. View it as a bored-out-of-your-mind pandemic shut-in victim looking for a little escapism rather than a movie critic.
