BOOK REVIEW: Death of a Prankster by M. C. Beaton

I love M.C. Beaton. I love both of her major series, Agatha Raisin and Hamish MacBeth. The Hamish MacBeth series takes place in a little Scottish village called Lochdubh, where Hamish is the constable. There’s not much crime in the little village, but enough to keep Hamish busy.

He is smart and cunning, but he can’t be too successful, or he will be promoted to a big city and have to leave his beloved Lochdubh.
In this one, the local practical joker turns up dead.
