TV TIME: Litvinenko (Prime Video)

I just watched the first episode of Litvinenko starring David Tennant as Alexander Litvinenko. Alexander was a British citizen who was a former Russian spy. He was poisoned by the Kremlin. He reported his own murder to the British police before his dying,

Wow. David Tennant was amazing. He was not at all David Tennant. There was not one “Wellll”, or ear tug, or any other tiny Davidism I could identify as DT playing a role. His  Russian accent was right on target, clear and understandable.

As the episode progressed, David as Alexander got weaker and sicker and smaller in that hospital bed as the poison overtook his body and mind. It was hard for me to believe he was not Litvinenko. It was heartbreaking for me to watch.

Why the critics had uncomplimentary comments about this series I do not understand. If you get a chance to watch it, do. And make your own decision about the story and the acting.
