This series was recommended to me by a fellow author. She said if I liked The Recruit, I would like this. And I did. It had me from the opening scene, where a woman simply walks into a private club, puts on a apron, puts poison in a drink, and brings it to a high-ranking British MI6 official with the ease and coolness of a lifetime Russian espionage agent, which she is. Family, love, duty, and friendship all come into play. Who is hero? Who is victim?
