BOOK REVIEW: 43 Missing by Carmen Amato

Based on a true story, this novel was a police procedural following the investigation of 43 missing students from a teachers’ college after a riot in Mexico City by Detective Emilia Cruz, the first female detective in Acapulco, and her task force.

While working on this case, she has a hidden agenda involving a handsome, notorious criminal at large who has personally harmed her. He also happens to be her brother.

But who can she trust when everybody seems to be crooked?

Outstanding character development and as great plot. I highly recommend.
