I don’t usually like military battle books with pages and pages of battles, but Midshipman Henry Gallant in Space by H. Peter Alesso was something different. In this futuristic novel, being human is a distinct disadvantage where all the best pilots are genetically-engineered. Enter Midshipman Henry Gallant, determined to prove that this ‘natural’ has what it takes. Well-written, enjoyable space opera.
