BOOK; I Need Christmas by Carol Ann Kauffman

Dear Gentle Readers,

Writing I Need Christmas, An Oakville Family Christmas story from Books To Go Now Publishers, was an unusual experience.

A Dilemma for Daisy, A Monday Mystery Society Book, from Books To Go Now, was my first experience writing a correlated anthology. There were five stories involving five different characters written by five individual authors about a book club called the Monday Mystery Society in a small Ohio town called Oakville.  The stories followed a chronological sequence, so we had to coordinate details and story histories.

However, for Oakville Family Christmas, the concept was all three stories happened in the same two weeks for Christmas time frame. Each of the three books revolved around a specific family member.

My storyline was daughter daughter Betsy Curry returns home for Christmas after a heart-breaking divorce. She doesn't want the holidays or fun or discussion. But she wants...no - needs her family.

Sounds hard? Yes, but it was fun. Head writer on that series was the talented and delightful Alison Jean Ash.

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed writing this sometimes heart-tugging, sometimes wacky holiday family saga.

Hugs,
Carol
