BOOK REVIEW: Siren’s Secret by Debbie Herbert

“ Siren's Secret"  by Debbie Herbert

Siren's Secret by Debbie Herbert is a captivating fast-paced tale of mermaids and murder. Successfully living on land with her relatives, the lovely Shelly becomes embroiled in the hideous crimes of a serial killer and fears she will become his next victim. The multi-layered main characters in the story are credible and lovable. The suspense builds and sustains to a satisfying ending. The ocean and the bayou are a beautiful backdrop to the story. If you are tired of werewolves and vampires, why not give mermaids a chance? I highly recommend "Siren's Secret" to anyone who loves action and adventure. And mermaids.

BOOK: Blue Lake by Carol Ann Kauffman

 Dear Gentle Readers,

Blue Lake is the first book in the Time After Time series. I wrote Blue Lake and Belterra, the second book in the series at about the same time. Back then, authors had to pitch their books to one of the big publishing houses, who were hesitant to take a chance on unknown writers. Travel, waiting, small crowded offices, smiling, nodding. Waiting. Getting lovely, polite, complimentary rejection letters months later. And starting over with another.

Along came Amazon and it’s kindle. I know it has many critics, but for me, I was captivated by the idea of having a massive amount of books from all over the world, old books, new books, art books, mysteries, biographies, books of all kinds, all available in one place to everybody! To anybody who wanted to read them. Wow… I published my first book with Amazon and have never regretted my decision.

All my books are available on Amazon exclusively. All are available in kindle format. Many are available in paperback.

Stay safe and go read a book,

Carol

NEWS FROM CAROL: Have You Heard of Vella?

Dear Gentle Readers,

Have you heard of Vella? It’s a new way of incorporating reading into your daily life, one episode at a time.

The biggest reason most people give for not reading is they don't have the time to read a long book. Some people shy away from big, heavy books because it feels too much like a commitment.

Vella has solved that problem for you. They are bringing you new and exciting stories from their popular kindle authors in easy to fit-into-your-schedule episodes.

One of the books I chose to make available on Vella is a romantic action adventure story called Raymond Layton, Man of Mystery. All ten episodes of the story are uploaded and available to readers now.

More on the mysterious Raymond later.

I don't know if readers will embrace this new reading 'mini-bite' format or not. I can see people who have little chunks of wait time in their day filling those voids with episodic reading. Airports. Doctors' offices. Waiting for your child's turn at sporting activities. I can see snuggling up on the couch with my kindle and treating these stories like a bag of cookies. "I'll just have two with this nice cup of tea." Yeah, right. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Stay safe and go read an episode,

Carol

FREE Today! Bentley Square by Carol Ann Kauffman

Dear Gentle Readers,

My Romantic Action Adventure Mystery, Bentley Square, is FREE today at http://tinyurl.com/laudaku on Amazon.com.

Strangers meet on the train. She, a beautiful, wealthy businesswoman. He, a down on his luck office manager. They have nothing in common. And yet, they are drawn to each other with an undeniable hypnotic magnetism. This is the story of Rebecca Robbins, daughter of one of the wealthiest men in the country and Mark Ramsay, a man shrouded in dark mystery and hiding in the shadows from death squads amid international intrigue.

This is a full length Time After Time novel.

The series, TIME AFTER TIME, follows a pair of quintessential lovers, Richard and Nicole, through their lives together, in different places, in different times, with different names and faces and sometimes even on other planets. This follows the alternative theory that the relationships we forge in this lifetime, both the good and the bad, are continued into the future, and are rooted deeply in our past. Whatever we do, whomever we love, and the good and evil deeds we do today follow us into the future. Unsettled issues will present themselves again and again, until they are ultimately resolved. Those people who have had a profound effect on us in this lifetime will find us again in the future. And although everything changes, love remains.

I think you'll enjoy it!
Hugs,
Carol
